Ich habe versucht, bei einem sehr alten Macbook Air, was noch auf Mac OS X 10.10 stehengeblieben war, dieses auf 10.13 upzudaten.
Dabei wird, beim Herunterladen vom Installationsprogramm, eine iCloud Anmeldung verlangt.
Bei dem alten MacOSX wird dabei aber dann, nach Eingabe des Benutzernamen und Passworts, nicht das Eingabefeld für den 6-stelligen Verifizierungscode, der an ein weiteres Apple-Gerät geschickt wird, angezeigt.
Man kann aber weiterkommen, indem man den 6-stelligen Code hinten an das Passwort direkt anhängt! Also kein Leerzeichen o.ä., sondern direkt dahinter.
Also zuerst einmal versuchen einzuloggen – dann erhält man den 6-stelligen Code. Und danach nochmal einloggen mit dem Code hinten am Kennwort angehängt.
Den 6-stelligen Code kann man auch aus iOS oder macOS folgendermaßen erhalten:
- in iOS: Settings -> ganz oben in den iCloud Account -> Passwort & Sicherheit und dann auf „Bestätigungscode erhalten“ klicken
- in macOS: In den Einstellungen unter iCloud, im Sicherheits-Reiter und dort auch den Code anfordern.

Fortunately, there’s a simple workaround:
- Log in with your Apple ID and password as normal.
- Get the six-digit authentication code from one of your trusted devices associated with the Apple ID.
- Back on the original device, log in again, but this time add the six-digit code at the end of the password. (Don’t put a space or anything else between the password or after the code.)
You can also generate a verification code manually:
- In iOS, open Settings > [your account] > Password & Security and then tap Get Verification Code.
- In macOS, go to the iCloud preference pane, click the Security tab, and then click Get Verification Code.
